Establishment

You provide the strain and your target product characteristics, ideally including the analytical method for quantification. We offer media design and strain characterization, to gain an early understanding of the dynamics of the manufacturing process based on fermentation and formulation.

POC Fermentation

You have a strain, a protocol for shake flasks, and analytics? We take to transfer your protocol to a bioreactor POC (proof of concept). Open to proposals, we usually perform 4 lab-scale fermentations and deliver process data and product yields.

POC Formulation

Your process is already established in a bioreactor and you already have generated some process data? Let's find, a suitable method for stabilizing (formulating) your microbe. We offer formulation trials to test the best-performing formulation for your strains, with the goal of improving stability and viability and increasing shelf life. This is where we offer the first samples.

Development / Validation

You already got a process figured out including fermentation and formulation - even better. We offer bio-process optimization just based on historic process data (if the quality is right) but usually recommend an experimental design to improve your process. For our customers, we run the experiments, as well as data evaluation, and return with a set of recommendations. Here we can offer product samples..

Up-scaling

Once the manufacturing process has been developed and validated its time to scale to economically relevant scales. To our customers, we offer scale-up starting from lab-scale (3L) to small industrial scale (500 L) to even industrial scale (4000 L). We will provide you with results and of course, larger samples.
